Profile

 

 Ayako Ogawa specializes in unique and avant-gard vocal improvisation,and has performed in concerts and recordings with musicians, dancers, and artists both in Japan and abroad. Their albums and songs have been released on independent labels in Poland, Belgium, China, and the US, and it has been featured on BBC Radio and local Polish radio. Their concerts and live performances have taken place in Poland, Vienna, Germany, the UK, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Tokyo,  Hiroshima, Kyoto, Oita, Sapporo, and Hakodate.

 

 Her diverse activities include improvisation, composition, video production, private picture book production, and folk instrument workshops.

 

 She currently resides in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, and in addition to her creative activities, she launched the voluntary organization Nochu Art Iburi Community on September 1, 2025, with the aim of promoting international exchange and exchange with deaf culture, Ainu culture, and the cultures of people with disabilities.
